El Niño likely to start mid-2023 and cause global average temperatures to exceed 1.5C in 2024

The arctic has already warmed 4 degrees, the Northern Hemisphere, which is mostly land (and includes the arctic) is already up 1.5 degrees, and now it looks like the whole world will cross the Paris Accord's 1.5 degrees target either this year or next year, as soon as the Pacific weather pattern changes from La Nina to El Nino. And #biden just approved the #willow project. Sigh.
