Democrats Kill Universal Health Care Debate

On January 31st, just before the deadline, the CalCare bill was withdrawn. But the Democrats had the votes to pass it. Every year they have the votes to pass it Except for a brief period from 1995 to 1996, the Assembly has been in Democratic hands since the 1970 election. Since 2012, they have had a super majority in the California legislature, They have no excuse for repeatedly not passing single payer healthcare.
